The Camp of the Ultimate Weapon is a camping program designed for the 6-12 year old boys and girls that are actively attending Middletown Baptist Church. The junior camp program began in 1993 in response to Jeremy Lasko's request to Mr. Ernie Kulhanek to have a camp for the younger children of the church.

The theme verse for the Camp of the Ultimate Weapon is Hebrews 4:12 "For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

The goal of the camp is to provide a spiritual environment where the children are challenged through chapel services and scripture memorization to seek and obey the will of God for their lives. Other activities of the camp include Bible quizzing, crafts, swimming, various sporting activities, singing, testimony time, campfires (with s'mores, of course!), cabin devotions, and more!

Camp of the Ultimate Weapon has been held in various locations - behind the church in army tents (the good `ole days!), Camp ESPA, Camp Todd, and most recently at the Penn Grove Retreat in Hanover, PA. One day, Lord willing, it will be held on our 70-acre church property! We have been thankful for all of the locations for which God has provided us to have a camp to minister to the children.

The Camp of the Ultimate Weapon is blessed to have Dr. Ed Lasko and his wife Nancy in attendance. Our assistant pastor, Pastor Jack Spicer will be leading the chapel services. The children are given this wonderful opportunity to spend a week with the spiritual leaders of our church. The Camp Commander is Ernie Kulhanek, assisted by his wife Judy. Many adults and teens willingly sacrifice a week of their time and efforts to make camp a success. Our camp cooks are by far the best in the camping industry!
