Middletown Baptist Church

My name is Dr. Edward J. Lasko, Sr. and I am the senior pastor at Middletown Baptist Church. My wife, Nancy, and I have had the honor and privilege of serving Middletown Baptist Church and our surrounding community for the past 43 years.

Our church has been blessed with over 80 acres of beautiful land. In October of 2005 we dedicated a wonderful new auditorium. We thank God for the individuals who sacrificed in our church to make the auditorium a reality.

We are the proud parents of 7 children and 11 grandchildren. The Lord called two of our sons home to Heaven in 1993. We are thankful for the precious gifts God has given to us in our children and grandchildren.

In the past years we have seen many changes and look forward to what the Lord has in store for us in the future. We would love to extend a personal invitation for you and your family to come and worship with us.

My name is Pastor Jack Spicer and I am the assistant pastor at Middletown Baptist Church. My wife, Jacque, and I have been serving the Lord for over 39 years and we both accepted the Lord through the visitation program of Middletown Baptist Church. We have served in practically every aspect of our church; teaching all ages, nursery, children's classes, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, teen ministry, bus ministry, visitation, camp ministry...just to name a few! The Lord then called us to ministry.

We followed God's leading and went to Tennessee Temple University where I received my training. Upon graduation I served as an assistant pastor as well as a senior pastor for the past 32 years. The Lord brought us back "home" to serve with our pastor, Dr. Edward Lasko at Middletown Baptist Church in 2006.

We are the proud parents of 4 children and 10 grandchildren. We are excited to be back in the MOT community. Jacque and I graduated from Middletown High School and have fond memories from our years in Middletown.   We hope our ministry will be a blessing to this area that we love.

My primary focus will be with our adult ministries and to the families of our church. I am currently teaching the "Married is Great" class during the Sunday School hour.  I am also leading the VBS program, speaking at and helping with our summer camp program, helping in various children's programs and lead our 1st-6th grade Children's Church program.  Jacque and I anticipate that the Lord will accomplish great things here at Middletown Baptist Church under the leadership of our pastor and friend, Dr. Edward Lasko.
