Organized visitation is Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. If you would like to visit at another time, please see Pastor Spicer or one of the secretaries for visits.

Why Visitation:

  1. Christ’s Command:
Matthew 28:19-20 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: vs 20. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

  2. Statistics:
A 1988 Gallup survey of 2,556 unchurched Americans revealed the following:

    • 44% of U.S. adults are unchurched. They do not belong to a church and have only visited one in the last six months for religious holidays, weddings, or funerals.

    • The unchurched are becoming increasingly receptive to what churches have to offer.

    • 63% believe the Bible is God’s Word.

    • 67% pray to the God of the Bible

    • 62% believe Jesus is the Son of God.

    • 58% could see themselves becoming actively involved in a church today and are open to an invitation.

The People Are Ripe For The Harvest!

Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest."

Definition of Visitation:
An intentional direct encounter by an individual with another person for the purpose of getting to know them, understanding and addressing their needs, providing encouragement and assistance in the name of Jesus, and expressing through word and/or deed the constant love and care of God.

Pastoral Vision:
The two purposes for the existence of Middletown Baptist Church are evangelization (local and worldwide) and edification of the believers. “Operation Saturation” is one of the many ways we seek to accomplish these goals in an organized fashion.

We are convinced that the Bible has the answer to all of life’s issues. It is a privilege to be able to be called an “ambassador” for our Lord Jesus Christ. Our goal is to see the MOT area influenced through the unchanging power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

When to Visit:
Visits can be arranged at any time. However, every Tuesday night, we meet at the church at 6:45 p.m. for a brief time of prayer before going out into the community at 7 p.m..

Participants:
If you are in need or know of someone that could benefit from a visit, please call the church office or email.
