FAQs

What should I wear?
We don't have a dress code at MBC. You'll see people wearing shorts and t-shirts, dresses and heels, flannels and jeans, and suits and ties. We want you to feel welcome, so wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing.

How long is the service?
The Sunday morning worship service lasts about 90 minutes and will include uplifting worship music and a message from the lead pastor.

What about my kids?
Child care is available for children 6th grade and below. Your toddlers and babies will be cared for by our loving and trained volunteers in our nursery suite located in our main building. Kids' Church is located in the lower level of the Education Building. Your kids will have a blast in the safe, clean, and fun environment and they will be cared for by our Kids' Church leaders who have prepared fun songs, games, and age appropriate Bible lessons just for your kids. All of our nursery, Kids' Church, and security volunteers  and have been trained and had a criminal background check.

Do I have to register my kids?
Yes. Registration is required for nursery, Kids' Church, and BLAST for safety and security. We use a secure online church management program that helps all kids' ministry volunteers know the information they need to care for your kids. You can preregister your children  and they will be added to the system before your first visit.

Is there Spanish translation?
There is Spanish translation for every Sunday morning service. Every Wednesday night there is a Spanish Bible study and on the second Sunday of every month there is a Spanish service in the Education Building.

What kind of music will there be?
Sunday morning services are typically a blended worship style - we sing everything from classic hymns to modern choruses and worship songs. During our worship time you will hear the choir sing a rehearsed piece and there will be a special ensemble or solo before Pastor Josh preaches. The whole church family will also get the opportunity to worship together in song and you're always welcome to sing along if you know the words or just enjoy the music. There's no pressure to join in the worship, but you may find it hard to resist singing along with us.

Am I expected to give money?
The service is our gift to you, and we would never expect you to donate financially to something you aren't familiar with. Our church members and regular attenders donate to our church because they truly believe in seeing God change lives and build stronger families through the ministries of our church.

Should I bring anything?
You don't need to bring anything to church with you. Bibles are provided for you to use during the service, or you can find the verses projected on the screens. Everything is free, so you don't need to bring any money with you.

Who is welcome at your church?
Everyone is welcome at Middletown. Our church represents people from every ethnicity, background, and life stage, and we are sure you fit right in. Whether you are part of a different religion or you are an atheist, you are welcome. Whether you have had a difficult past or you're currently living through a tough situation, you are welcome. Whether you have different opinions or beliefs, you are also welcome. We teach that the Bible is the Word of God and that it is applicable to our lives today. Our pastor will preach relevant truth from the Bible each week, and you are always welcome to listen. No matter your past, we want to be a part of your future!
